Belle Valley Ancient Grains was started in 2015 in an effort to produce a value-added crop on our 200 acre farm in western South Dakota. We have farmed here since 2002, and earned certified organic status in November of 2018. We currently grow ancient/heirloom wheat including Emmer, Einkorn, Spelt, Red Fife, Sonora White, and also Golden Flax and Chickpeas. Our family heritage of ag and milling in So Dak goes back five generations. We are re-learning to farm as it was done 100 years ago.
